Mary Easterday

As a guidance counselor, Mary's goal is to help individuals find solutions and live up to their potential. Mary has worked as a family life and career workshop facilitator since getting her Masters of Science in Education in 1963 from KU. Her family, husband, four children, and 12 grandchildren have received her greatest blessings in all the cities in the midwest that they lived in, by helping with homeless shelters, food pantries, and family communication workshops. Helping at the Lawrence Community Shelter for the last 9 years in many capacities has been such an amazing experience for her whole family. Of the experience, Mary says, "Every time we work with the TEAM of director, staff, volunteers and guests at LCS we grow in our appreciation of life. I have never seen more professionalism and experience with people as everyone who works with the homeless at LCS."
