The Community Shelter welcomes donations that can be used in the Drop-In Shop. LCS Guests may earn Drop-In Dollars by performing chores around LCS. The Drop-In Dollars may be spent on personal items. This concept encourages personal responsibility & budgeting. We prefer new items in original packaging for the Drop-In Shop, although the more expensive items can be gently used (backpacks & camping gear, for example).

Clothing Needs for both Men & Women

  • New Socks (always in great need)
  • New Underwear (always in great need)
  • T-shirts
  • Hats, mittens/gloves, and scarves during winter

General Needs

  • Batteries (AAA, AA, A, C, D for radios, flashlights, etc.)
  • Flashlights
  • Backpacks
  • Blank journals
  • Sunglasses
  • Camping gear (bedrolls, sleeping bags, lanterns)
  • Portable CD players and radios

Toiletries:

  • Deodorant
  • Disposable razors
  • Hand lotion

  • First-aid items (band-aids, antibiotic ointment, etc.)

Food & Snacks:

  • Individual prepackaged snack items (chips, cookies, granola bars, etc. with extended shelf life)
