Megan Harrison - Board Vice President
Megan Harrison has 15 years of experience in the local non-profit environment. She has served as the Director of Administration and Development at Ballard Community Services, and as the Executive Director at The Willow Domestic Violence Center. Currently, she works as a consultant at Paychex, Inc., where she advises business owners on best practices for business including finance and employee retention.
Megan's investment in the Lawrence community includes several years as the President of the Douglas County chapter of the National Organization for Women, a member of the Lawrence St. Patrick's Day Parade Committee, and a campaign assistant for several commission candidates. She was voted 3rd in the "Best Community Leader" portion of Best of Lawrence in 2020.
She also owns several small businesses and enjoys engaging with the community through her work as a social media consultant and entrepreneur. She has been trained at the Kansas Leadership Center, has certification in trauma-informed coaching practices, and was a member of the 2014 Leadership Lawrence graduating class, as well as the 2016 KU emerging leader’s academy through the KU Public Management Center.
