Are you interested in turning your commitment to supporting worthy causes into a part of your lasting legacy? Did you know there are various ways you can plan a gift to the Lawrence Community Shelter?

It is possible to make a bequest in your will, arrange for a charitable gift annuity, or use a beneficiary designation for either an IRA, Keogh, 401(k), 403(b), or life insurance plan.

If you’d like to learn more about any of these possibilities, please do not hesitate to contact Kenny Yates by calling 785-856-2060 or emailing kennethy@lawrenceshelter.org.

Thank you for your interest in making an in-kind donation! Please see our ongoing needs list below and feel free to visit our Amazon Wish List.

Donation hours are WEDNESDAYS, 1:00-3:00 PM and THURSDAYS, 10:00 AM-NOON at the roll-up door to the warehouse. Volunteers and/or staff will be there to assist you.

WE DO NOT ACCEPT WALK-IN DONATIONS OUTSIDE OF DONATION HOURS.

Donations can be shipped to 3655 East 25th Street, Lawrence, KS 66046.

If you have any questions regarding donations, please email Meghan Bahn at meghanb@lawrenceshelter.org

Please note that we CANNOT ACCEPT CLOTHES, which we are unable to sort and store. If you have clothes to donate, we recommend that you take them to Clare’s Community Closet or to the Social Service League Store (905 Rhode Island Street).
