Provides: food voucher, rent and utility assistance, adoption and hospice services, transportation, counseling, legal immigration support and consult, case management, marriage for keeps, holiday supports, disaster relief, and advocacy.

Independence, Inc.

Services for those with disabilities: advocacy, information, referrals, independent living skills training, psychological services, peer counseling, benefits assistance, assistant technology, computer training, personal care attendant management, accessible housing program, community education, resource library, and home- and community-based waiver services.

Lawrence Transit System

Coordinated public transit service throughout the city.

Senior Resource Center for Douglas County — Transportation
745 Vermont Street

Transportation for seniors. $4 one way, $8 round trip. Other prices based on destination.
