Ballard Community Services

Offers Emergency Services Council Rent and Utility Assistance. Low-income community residents can access up to $200 annually to help with utility or rent payments. Money is given in emergency situations only.

Catholic Charities
1247 Kentucky Street

Provides: food voucher, rent and utility assistance, adoption and hospice services, transportation, counseling, legal immigration support and consult, case management, marriage for keeps, holiday supports, disaster relief, and advocacy.

Assistance with rent and utilities, home weatherization, seasonal and holiday, school supplies, homeless and housing counseling, referrals to other services and case management, food pantry.

Food Pantry at Cornerstone Southern Baptist Church

Free food pantry and program to help people purchase healthy food at wholesale prices (SHARE). Checks, money orders, credit cards and EBT cards accepted.

Services for low-income Douglas County residents, including: case management, rent/utility assistance, clothing, school kits, tax assistance, job assistance, and mobile food pantry. The food pantry is held on the third Wednesday of each month (except July and December) at the Douglas County Fairgrounds.

Salvation Army
